Dani, thanks so much for your inspiring words. I recently left an abusive work situation and it has allowed me to examine my life and realize that I just don't want to go on living my life surrounded by the dark clouds of negativity. The change has started and I am encouraged by your article. Thank you

Michael - Thank you! My attitude has changed SO much recently and it's had a huge impact on my life.

Shawn - Thanks so much for the words of encouragement. I completely understand what you're saying about the concept of good and bad. It can be very problematic. I've read some of Tolle's work and it's definitely helpful in this area. Unfortunately it's not as easy for me to do as it is for me to read....but I'm working on it!

Oh yeah, I've got something to say about this one. Stoked that she figured out the most important thing in step one; Nobody is responsible for your emotions but you! In step two she realizes that everyone in her life she let in and it is her responsibility to get them out if they are not beneficial to her life (and she's right, once you let them in it's hard to get them out!)

OK, now the big one... good/bad. Do they really exist? You can pretty much rationalize anything, but I know where she's coming from and I hope she finds that there is an easier way to happiness than becoming the judge of what is good or bad. Eckhart Tolle can fill us in on this. I'm just saying there are a couple of steps that can make this one irrelevant and make the positive and self fullfiling feelings of happiness automatic and less of a struggle.

As for positive? Her word is gospel. You go girl, you are on the path!
